📢 Public Hearing Notice 📢

Reminder: Cubero Elementary families, today, Wednesday March 26th, is a early release day. Students will be released at 12:45. There will be no after school tutoring.

Dear Students, Parents, and Staff,
On the night of March 24, 2025, at approximately 11:15 PM, Grants High School was subjected to an unfortunate act of vandalism, resulting in graffiti on several buildings and school property. In addition to the vandalism, written threats were directed toward both students and administrators, which makes this incident even more concerning. This act is not just an attack on our facilities but a targeted assault on our staff, students, and the educational process we hold dear.
Law enforcement has been notified and is actively investigating this incident. We take this matter very seriously and want to assure you that we will not tolerate any actions that disrupt the learning environment or jeopardize the safety and well-being of our community.
As a precautionary measure, Grants High School will remain in a shelter-in-place until further notice. This decision was made to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff while the investigation is ongoing. During this time, movement within the school will be limited, and no unauthorized individuals will be allowed on campus.
Despite this incident, Grants High School remains secure, and we are committed to maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all students. We will not allow this act of vandalism and intimidation to deter us from our mission to educate and empower our students.
We encourage anyone with information about this incident to come forward and report it to law enforcement or school administrators. Additionally, we urge our students, parents, and staff to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may help prevent future incidents.
Our Commitment Moving Forward:
✅ We will work closely with law enforcement to ensure those responsible are held accountable.
✅ We will take proactive steps to increase security measures and prevent similar incidents.
If you have any questions, concerns, or relevant information, please do not hesitate to contact your school administrators or law enforcement.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
